Dr. Saroj Kumar Sahu

About

Started atmospheric chemistry research at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune in 2004, completed PhD in Atmospheric and Space Science from Pune University, and then pursued as Postdoc scientist at Forschungszentrum Julich, Germany and National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Japan. He joined as UGC-Assistant Professor at Utkal University (2016-2024) and Berhampur University (2024 onwards). Since last 22 years, major focusing research areas are  National GHGs Emission, Urban Air Quality, Climate/Chemistry Modelling, Pollutant and Weather Measurement, developing Sustainable Clean Air Strategy and Health Impact study. Till date 2 scholars awarded PhD degree & 5 more continuing under his supervision. He is leading Emission Inventory, Air Quality and Modelling (AEIM) team with bunch of bright and dynamics scholars at Berhampur University. GHGs Emission Inventory, Urban Air Quality & Public Health, Climate Change, Ambient Air Quality Monitoring, Policy Assessment & Mitigation Strategy etc.
